Lepper, Schmidt, Sommerlade

Christian Lepper, Roland Schmidt, and Uwe Sommerlade joined forces and founded their own design studio in Kassel, Germany in 1991. Over the years, they have created designs for Haworth, as well as Brunner Furniture, Kusch+Co., Rosenthal, and Thonet, as well as Italian firms Rossin and Tonon.

The team believes that while the idea is key to starting the process, product development is tremendously important, as discussions, experiments, and close cooperation with partners are what ultimately help achieve their goals for aesthetics and functionality.
