Wolfgang C.R. Mezger

One of the most sought-after furniture designers in the world, C.R. Mezger is recognized for his comfort with technology, his demand for quality, and his ability to produce beautiful results.

Born in Germany, Mezger graduated from the College of Design in Schwäbisch Gmünd in 1979 and received the 1980 Braun Prize for up-and-coming international designers. He opened his design studio in Eislingen in 1983 and has taught at the design colleges in Berlin, London, and Schwäbisch Gmünd. Today, Mezger works with a small, elite team designing award-winning pieces for leading companies in the United States, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, and Switzerland.
